~MEET JENNIFER~

Jennifer was born to a blue-collar family in Tacoma, Washington. Her father was a military veteran who worked as a machinist, while her mother owned a small business. Her parents taught her the importance of having a strong work ethic at a young age, which came in handy when starting her first job at age 16 working as a retail sales associate.

Jennifer worked her way up to district sales training manager within a few years, traveling along the west coast, opening new locations, recruiting, hiring, and training staff. No matter her job, Jennifer always stuck to her parents' principles: working hard for the life you want. For the last five years, she's been a sales executive for a packaging company, which provided the flexibility to balance between work and raising a family.

Like many moms, Jennifer could be found volunteering at her children's school.  Believing in the importance of early childhood development, she started volunteering at her child's elementary school by reading books to the class and helping those struggling to read.

As her kids grew older, Jennifer continued to be active, from a cheer mom for Alyssa to a basketball team statistician for Johnny. She also volunteered her time with Brittany's Trees, a non-for-profit benefiting the SADS Foundation, an organization focused on saving the lives of children with hereditary heart rhythm disorders.

Like many working families, Jennifer is concerned with the direction of our state with extreme policies coming out of Springfield. She is running for state representative in the 48th district to advocate for a healthy, safe, and prosperous state by supporting policies to keep tax rates low, communities safe, businesses prospering, and closing the education gap caused by COVID.

Jennifer resides in Hanover Park with her husband of twenty years, Bobby, who operates his own business. They have two children, Alyssa and Johnny, and Lucy, their puppy. Jennifer and Bobby attend Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Carol Stream.

~ISSUES~

Open Sign

Economy

The pandemic negatively impacted the state's economy, but the politicians in Springfield did so, too, with calls for higher taxes. Policies coming from our state capital should encourage economic growth, not hinder it by asking taxpayers to pay more as consumer prices skyrocket.

Jennifer opposes increasing taxes and supports a balanced budget to get Illinois back on track by spending responsibly. When we allow businesses to flourish, we create a healthy economy for all.

Public Safety

In Illinois, crime is up, and we need solutions to keep families safe. Efforts to defund the police are dangerous and reckless. Jennifer is a firm believer in supporting our law enforcement professionals.

She will work on policies to strengthen funding and training, ensuring they have the resources necessary to keep communities safe.

Ethics Reform.jpg

Transparency

Illinoisans deserve an honest, transparent government to ensure their tax dollars are used efficiently and effectively. An ethical cloud engulfs the state capital with federal investigations targeting the politically connected and politicians who betrayed the public’s trust.

Jennifer will support meaningful ethics reform to change the corrupt culture in Springfield by empowering the Legislative Inspector General to investigate legislators without interference.
